Rajasthan: CM Gehlot appeals to people to remain alert over the storm

Jaipur: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has appealed to the people of the state to remain alert over the storm. Gehlot appealed through social media that all preparations are being made in the state in view of the storm storm, in which necessary management is being made. He appealed to all to be on alert over the storm.

Gehlot said that as predicted so far, Storm Taute may hit Jamnagar, the largest source of oxygen supply for Rajasthan, in which officials have also met and ordered an alternative emergency plan. CM Gehlot said, "According to met department, districts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur and Bharatpur divisions may be affected by the storm. Today, dungarpur received darkness and rain in which some people died and damaged. I extend my deepest condolences to the affected people".

He said that at the same time, disaster management teams have been instructed to deploy in areas with potential impact of the storm and monitor each situation. He said that in view of the cyclonic storm from Gujarat, instructions have also been issued to keep the supply of oxygen smooth lying across the state and prepare buffer stocks. There was no disruption in power supply to hospitals due to the storm. Orders have also been issued to have alternative arrangements for power generators in hospitals.
