Jaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has been gracious to the hon. In Rajasthan, employees, and pensioners of state government bodies, boards, and corporations, including MLAs, former MLAs, will now get cashless treatment of up to Rs 10 lakh. In order to provide better facilities to these people, the Rajasthan government health scheme (RGHS) has been approved to be implemented in the first phase from 1st July.
Under the scheme, about 13 lakh beneficiary families will be provided cashless medical facilities of indoor, outdoor and tests in all government hospitals, approved private hospitals, and private check-up centres. An unlimited amount of outdoor facility will be provided to personnel and pensioners appointed before January 1, 2004. After January 1, 2004, the appointed person will also get a cashless IPD treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh, an additional medical facility up to Rs 5 lakh for critical diseases and an outdoor medical facility up to Rs 20,000 per annum.
Personnel who currently have only an IPD facility within the insurance limit of up to Rs 3 lakh will also get the option to avail of this facility free of cost in RGHS as before. The Health Department says that cashless IPD and daycare facilities will be provided to the beneficiaries registered in the first phase on the lines of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).
