New Delhi:  Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Friday in New Delhi.

The Chief Minister requested that the grant permissible in CSISAC (Component-1) of the National Cooperative Development Corporation for Himalayan and North Eastern States be increased from 20% to 40%.

According to a statement from Uttarakhand's Chief Minister's office, the State Integrated Cooperative Development Project is being operated under CSISAC (Component-1) with assistance from the National Cooperative Development Corporation and subsidised by the cooperative in the state of Uttarakhand.

The state government has presented an ambitious plan to the National Cooperative Development Corporation to establish various cooperative institutions in the state's cooperative sector.

Arrangements were made to provide farmers with fair prices for their produce by establishing joint cooperative farming and other agricultural and allied businesses, which collectively increased production and added value to them. It is in principle, and the National Cooperative Development Corporation has given financial approval. The Prime Minister announced the above-mentioned scheme.

Due to the challenging geographical conditions, the Chief Minister stated that it is extremely difficult to establish cooperative societies as a commercial unit, and that additional assistance would be required.
