Dehradun: Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has arrived on a visit to the Tanakpur-Banbasa area. Here the Chief Minister held a roadshow from Banbasa to Tanakpur. The Chief Minister arrived at the Banbasa Stadium at 10:30 am by helicopter. After a roadshow from Banbasa to Tanakpur, he will now hold a rally at Gandhi Maidan in Tanakpur. At 3:30 pm, CM Dhami will leave for Dehradun from Tanakpur. The Chief Minister was accompanied by MP Ajay Tamta and former MLA Kailash Gahtori on the sidelines of the roadshow.  

Earlier, on Wednesday, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami was on a visit to Kumaon. The Chief Minister has to contest the by-election from the Champawat seat. In such a situation, now he is putting all his might into the by-election. Speaking on the sidelines of the function here, he said that the committee will be formed soon to implement the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand.

The civil code will be prepared on the basis of the draft prepared by the jurists, intellectuals and retirees who are part of this Committee. Describing the power crisis as a problem for the entire country, he said the government is taking measures to deal with it. He said this on Wednesday evening at a reception held at a hotel in Rudrapur. The CM said that the BJP does not only make blank announcements but also puts the announcements on the ground. He had announced the implementation of a uniform civil code when the BJP comes back to power in Rudrapur on the last day of campaigning for assembly elections, which will be completed soon. Thereafter, a uniform law will be applicable to citizens of all religions. Along with this, the construction of the satellite centre of AIIMS is also going to start soon in Kichcha. The Nazul Act is also going to be enacted soon to give ownership rights to the land of Nazul. On the ongoing power crisis in the state, Dhami said it is the problem of not only Uttarakhand but the entire country. The Government is taking measures to deal with this problem.
