Jaipur: The launch of Vande Bharat by Ajmer-Delhi Cantt has started a round of allegations and counter-allegations between the BJP and the Congress. When PM Modi was accused of using the railways for 'political interests', now the CM of Rajasthan has retaliated. He said that it was a speech given with the elections in mind and according to the agenda of the BJP. While releasing the statement, Gehlot has kept his entire point.

Gehlot admitted that there have been reforms in the Indian Railways. However, he said that this has happened due to the technological advancement that has happened over time all over the world. He said, 'This also brought new technology to India and improved the railways. It is not fair to say that the development works on the railways have happened only after 2014. Responding to the pointed attacks on the Congress and former Railway Minister Lalu Yadav, Gehlot said, 'Today your speech was given solely in view of the 2023-24 assembly and Lok Sabha elections, and it was in the form of the BJP's election agenda. '

Enumerating the names of more than a dozen railway ministers from Lal Bahadur Shastri to Mallikarjun Kharge, Gehlot said, 'It is unfortunate to call the decisions of all these tenures motivated by corruption and political selfishness. In an effort to reduce the importance of railroads, you have abolished the separate railroad budget during your tenure. Today, if the modern train is able to run, it is because Dr. Manmohan Singh, as Finance Minister, liberalised the economy in 1991 and gave new technology a chance to develop in India.

'Gehlot ji, you have laddoos in your hands...', why did PM Modi say this?
