Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday sought a time to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh so that he could appeal to the Supreme Court's order on the power clash in Delhi. Kejriwal said that it is very dangerous that the central government is advising the Lt Governor to not follow the Supreme Court's order on the power confrontation between the Delhi government and the Center.

He tweeted, "The Home Ministry has advised the Lt. Governor to ignore the part of the Supreme Court order which limits the powers of the governor to only three subjects. It is dangerous that the central government is advising the Lt. Governor not to abide by the orders of the Honorable Supreme Court."

Even after the order of the Court to cut the powers of the Lieutenant Governor, the dispute over the control of the service department between his office and the Delhi government remained constant. Countering Kejriwal, Lt Governor Anil Baijal said that the 2015 rules of the Home Ministry are continuously valid so that the subject matter of services is outside the jurisdiction of the Delhi Assembly.

At the beginning of this week, a few hours after the historic judgment of the Supreme Court, the Delhi government brought a new mechanism for the transfer and deployment of the bureaucrats and made the authority to approve the Chief Minister. However, the Service Department refused to accept it saying that the Supreme Court has not cancelled the notification issued in 2015, in which the Union Home Ministry was authorized for transfer and deployment.
