Kolkata: The Chief Minister of West Bengal and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo on Monday said that what was the need for conducting eight-phase elections in Bengal? This was done by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Given the present-day situation of Corona, should he not have conducted the election within a short period of time.

CM Mamata also opposed the eight phases of elections in the state and said that BJP, can't find local candidates to contest elections? They do not have local people, all of their people are borrowed from TMC or CPM. They are spraying money like water from a tube. Those who cannot say Sonar Bangla properly, cannot rule Bengal.

Let me tell you that during the election campaign in Nandigram last month, Mamata Banerjee got a leg injury. Mamata had alleged that she was deliberately attacked. The third phase of voting is to be held in West Bengal on Tuesday and the campaigning has stopped in the 31 assembly constituencies where elections are to be held. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) have started campaigning for the fourth phase. Polling will be held on April 10 in the capital Kolkata, Howrah.
