Patna: The festival of Eid ul Fitr is being celebrated in Bihar with great enthusiasm today. Namaz was offered at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, in which people of all religions participated in large numbers. CM Nitish Kumar also reached Gandhi Maidan and congratulated the people of Bihar on Eid. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also ate vermicelli after the prayers.

CM Nitish Kumar said that we always work to maintain brotherhood in Bihar. The atmosphere is very good now. Fasting was observed for a whole month, and after that, Eid is being celebrated today. Everyone is very happy on this occasion, and I am also involved in their happiness. Nitish Kumar said that we respect all religions. No religion is alien to me. On this occasion, the media personnel present at Gandhi Maidan questioned Nitish Kumar on his countrywide tour and opposition unity, and then he clearly said that today is Eid and nothing else. Special security arrangements have also been made at Gandhi Maidan for the special prayers. Five DSPs have been deputed to keep the security system perfect. Eid prayers were offered at 350 places across the state. Special security arrangements have been made regarding this. 29 Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), 12 of the Territorial Reserve Force, seven companies of paramilitary forces provided by the Centre, and 5,700 soldiers of the Home Defence Corps have been deployed. At the same time, 995 static forces have also been deployed at Namaz.
