Janata Dal-United national president Nitish Kumar has taken a tough stand. He has given a strong suggestion to Pawan Verma and Prashant Kishore after the statements of the big leaders of his party that they wish to go wherever they want to go. The party's stand on the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Citizenship Register is clear.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister said that he has great respect for Pawan Verma. The statement he made about the CAA-NRC maybe his personal statement, not that of the party. It is wrong for any leader to make any kind of statement without consulting the party. Wherever they want to go, they are free to go. We wish him all the best. The JDU's stand on every subject is clear. On the issue of CAA-NRC, JDU spokesperson Pawan Verma questioned the party supremo and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to clarify the party's stand on these issues. Pawan Verma wrote a letter saying that in 2017 Nitish Kumar told him how BJP-Modi is destroying democratic values, but now the same Nitish is in alliance with the same BJP in Delhi.
