Patna: Nitish Kumar, CM of Bihar, has said that we are ready to vaccinate the coronavirus in Bihar. The first healthcare workers, frontline workers and those above 50 years of age will be vaccinated on a priority basis. CM Nitish said that we will follow the central guideline and conduct vaccination effectively. We want to assure that in Bihar we will do this work in a very good way. A new strain has arrived in the UK, so we have to be more vigilant.
Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey had earlier informed that cold chain equipment will be used up to the district level to maintain the quality of Covishield and Covaxin to deal with the global epidemic like corona in the state. He further stated that the Central Government has allocated additional resources for storage of Covid Vaccine, including 539 Deep Freezers, 432 Ice Lined Refrigerators, 8 Walk Coolers and 2 Walk Freezers. Out of this, 423 Ice Lined Refrigerators have been allocated to the districts.
According to the media report, a list of a total of 97 people has been prepared in Bihar, who recently came to the state from London. In this 57 people have been detected, whose RTPCR test has also been done. There are 19 people out of total 97 who have not been contacted.
