Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Monday shared an interesting anecdote from his engineering days with the girls studying at the newly constructed hostel at Magadha Mahila College in Patna on Monday due to the inauguration ceremony. Nitish Kumar told that when he used to study in engineering college, at that time there was not a single female student in his college.

Elaborating further, Nitish Kumar said that the situation in his engineering college was such that if a woman came to the college every day, all the students used to see the same woman. Nitish Kumar told that when he used to study in engineering college and now a lot has changed in the time because today girls study in engineering and medical colleges in more statistics. The Chief Minister also emphasized that women are being given a lot of opportunities at present, they have no dearth of opportunities. According to the Chief Minister, the State Government is also emphasizing that the share of women in higher education should increase further. He informed that seats have been reserved in the state for girls in engineering or medical colleges.

When Nitish Kumar narrated this story from his engineering college days to the female students, there was a lot of applause and the girls were also seen smiling fiercely.
