Hyderabad: This will probably be the first case in the country when a case has been registered against doctors over the death of CM dog. This incident took place in Telangana. A pet dog, Huskey, who lives in the official bungalow of Chief Minister K Chandrasakhar Rao, died after being hit by a disease. An inquiry has been instituted by the police. Police have registered a case against the veterinary doctors. The case is being investigated by the Banjara Hills Police. If the charges are found to be true, doctors could face up to five years in prison.

According to reports, the police have registered an FIR against Dr. Lakshmi and Dr. Ranjit of animal care clinic under sections 429 and 11 of the Indian Penal Code. By Wednesday evening, the 11-month-long pet dog Haskey was fine. He suddenly fell ill in the evening. After which, the staff working at the CM's bungalow reported Huskey's illness to his doctor Ranjit.

In the investigation, Dr. Ranjit found that Haski had a 101 degree fever. He then gave her medicine and then shifted to the Animal Care Clinic. However, Haski succumbed to injuries at the clinic. Nine pet dogs live on the chief minister's bungalow. the caretaker of which is Asif Ali Khan. The opposition has also targeted CM Rao on the issue. The opposition said the government is more serious about its dog than focusing on the deunge spreading in state.
