There is a political rage on the CAA before the elections in Kerala. While Union Home Minister Amit Shah has spoken of implementing CAA in the country after completion of covid vaccination, whereas Kerala CM has refused to do so.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that CAA will not be applicable in Kerala. The opinion of the state government is clear. We are not in favor of implementing CAA. Vijayan's statement comes just a day after Amit Shah's statement that the CAA would be implemented after completion of the covid vaccination. It has been learned that the journey of the Left Democratic Front to Kasargod was taking place before the assembly elections in Kerala. CPIM state secretary Vijayaraghavan was also involved. Chief Minister Vijayan, who arrived at the flag off the visit, announced that CAA has not been implemented in the state.
While continuing his talk, he said that some people have started talking about CAA. We have already clarified our views. The Home Minister has announced the implementation of CAA after covid-19 vaccination. It is also being said that the Government of Kerala does not support this decision of the Center. We will not implement CAA in Kerala. We do not stand with this decision nor implement it in the state. We stand firmly on the side that CAA will not be implemented in the state.
