Dehradun: Big news has surfaced for devotees visiting Chardham. Devotees will be able to visit Chardham once again from tomorrow i.e. State CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced this on Friday.
In fact, the Uttarakhand High Court had on Thursday directed the state government to conduct the yatra with strict compliance with the Covid-19 protocol. The court had also said that it would be mandatory for devotees to bring a negative corona report and vaccination certificate under corona rules during the yatra. A maximum of 800 pilgrims will be allowed a daily visit to Kedarnath Dham, 1200 in Badrinath, 600 in Gangotri, and 400 in Yamunotri, setting a daily limit of devotees in temples located in the high Garhwal Himalayan region known as Chardham. At the same time, devotees will not be allowed to bathe in the waterfalls around the temples.
During the yatra, the police force will be deployed as per requirement during Chardham yatra in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, and Uttarkashi districts. Badrinath in Chamoli, Kedarnath in Rudraprayag, and Gangotri and Yamunotri temples in Uttarkashi district are present. The high court's decision has come as a big relief to the state government. The state government was under all-around pressure to launch the Chardham Yatra as lakhs of people were associated with their livelihood.
