Gwalior: MP CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan today laid the foundation stone of the incubation centre under PM Micro Food Industry Upgradation Scheme through video conferencing in agricultural colleges of three cities of Gwalior, Morena and Sehore in the state. As a result, the Chief Minister said that PM Modi has taken a historic decision by formulating the PM Micro Food Enterprise Scheme. Under the same scheme, these three incubation centres will definitely be a milestone for Gwalior, Morena and Sehore. If adequate facilities, resources, loans, etc., are provided to our farmers, I am confident that they can perform miracles. These 3 incubation centres at Gwalior, Morena and Sehore will prove to be important in this direction.

This is the beginning of a new revolution in the same food processing sector. After Bhoomi puja, as long as these centres are ready, organize workshops to train farmers in connection with food processing so that farmers get maximum information. Under the PM micro food enterprise scheme, farmers will be given subsidies up to Rs 10 lakh. 40% of the subsidy will be given by the MP Government. There is another scheme to expand the food processing industry in which the State Government will provide subsidies up to Rs.2.5 crore if a large unit is set up.

At the same time, he said that MP is a state which is continuously helping in fulfilling PM Modi's resolve by setting new records in the field of agriculture. With effort slated to come up with a number of schemes, we have decided to take MP forward in the field of agriculture and as a result, MP has won Krishi Karman awards many times and food stocks are full in India. MP is today a province producing more wheat than Punjab. By purchasing more than 43 lakh MT of paddy, we have broken the procurement records in paddy. We are constantly helping the PM's resolve to double the income of the farmers by focusing on horticulture along with the production of crops. Chief Minister Chouhan said, "I am happy to speak that the area of horticulture in MP has exceeded 15 lakh hectares. We are producing fruits, vegetables and spices. If we arrange for the processing of what is being produced here, the income of the farmers can definitely increase. In the Corona crisis, PM Modi had given a package of Rs 1 lakh crore to the country for infra in the agriculture sector. MP is the state that made the most of that fund. Our farmers are realizing PM Modi's dreams by setting new records in farming. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel and Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Bharat Singh Kushwaha were present at the Bhoomi pujan function.
