Guna: Poachers have killed 3 policemen in Guna, Madhya Pradesh. The police personnel who were killed include SI Rajkumar, constable Neeraj Bhargava and Havildar Santram Meena. After the incident, the Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the three police personnel on Saturday morning. The Chief Minister had also called an emergency meeting this morning. In this meeting, senior police officers including Home Minister Narottam Mishra, Chief Secretary, DGP, ADG, PS Home attended.

According to the news received, at around 12.30 pm on Friday night, the Aaron police station had received the news that hunters have hunted black deer and peacock in the forest of Maunwara beyond the culvert of Shahrok village. On which 7 people including SI Rajkumar Jatav, head constable Neeraj Bhargava and constable Santram Meena left for the forest from the police station. Due to this, the police caught 2-3 hunters who came from 4 motorcycles, but then other friends of the hunters who came from behind started firing. Three policemen died on the spot due to bullet injuries. At the same time, three people have been injured, who have been admitted to the hospital.

While expressing grief over the incident, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that the police had received news of some criminals. The miscreants seeing themselves surrounded and started firing. One of our SI, one head constable and one constable were martyred. I have been in contact since morning. We will catch them soon. Strict action will be taken against these miscreants. Heads of 5 deer have been found, bodies of 2 deer have been found, dead bodies of peacock have also been found. This is where the hunters get their attention.
