CM Shivraj express grief over demise of 'Flying Sikh'

Bhopal: The havoc of corona infection is beginning to subside across the world but in the meantime the news of deaths is on the rise. Milkha Singh, the great runner who was recently called the 'Flying Sikh', has passed away and many leaders have condoled his demise. Padma Shri awardee Farrata Dhawar Milkha Singh has brought glory to India all over the world. He had won 4 gold medals at the Asian Games and one gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. This week Nirmal, wife of India's Legendary athelete 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh, also passed away due to corona. Several leaders including Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj, Narottam Mishra have condoled the passing away of Milkha Singh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan tweeted and wrote: "I pay homage to the great athlete Flying Sikh Milkha Singh on his demise, milkha singh's contribution to the glory of the country will always be remembered by this country. Their loss is irreparable loss to the entire country. May God place his soul at his feet." Apart from him, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra tweeted, "Saddened to hear of the passing away of flying Sikh Milkha Singh who brought glory to the country in the world, the country has lost a great player whose life will always be a source of inspiration for young sportspersons. Your demise is an irreparable loss to the country.''

At the same time, Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang tweeted: "The passing away of noted runner, Padma Shri awardee 'Flying Sikh' Milkha Singh is an irreparable loss to the sports world, May God place the departed soul in his feet and give the bereaved family the strength to bear this thunderbolt."
