Bhopal: Jyoti Jyot Diwas of Angad Dev, the second Guru of Sikhs, is celebrated every year on April 16. Angad Dev was a guru of Sikhs. It is said that Guru Angad Dev Maharaj had a creative personality, he had a spiritual activity that first made him a true Sikh and then a great guru. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has bowed to Guru Angad Dev on Jyoti Jyot Diwas today.

 

 

In fact, he has tweeted: "Ocean of service, mercy, and compassion, kotish in stages on Jyoti Jyot Diwas of revered Guru Angad Dev Ji, the second guru of Sikhs, Kotish: Naman! Your ideal life and light arising out of energetic speech will always pave the way for the welfare of humanity. Salutations at the feet of the great guru!" Angad Dev, the second Guru of the Sikhs, was born on March 31, 1504, in Harike village in Punjab. Guru Nanak Dev, influenced by the devotion and spiritual ability of Angad Dev, considered him his part and named him Angad. That is why Angad Dev Ji is also known as Lehna.

On the other hand, Guru Angad celebrates the birth anniversary of Dev as 'Angad Dev Jayanti.' Guru Angad Dev wrote many verses and also improved them in Gurumukhi script. At the same time, Guru Angad Dev started the langar system, besides setting up other centers for the practice of Sikhism.
