CM Shivraj unveils ashtametal statue of Tantia Mama, remembers sacrifice

Indore: Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled his ashta metal statue at Patalpani today on Tantia Bhil Mama Sacrifice Day. Governor Patel and CM Shivraj were the first to offer prayers at The Kali Mata Temple in Tantia Mama. He then planted a sapling in the garden behind the temple. Meanwhile, the descendants of Tantia Bhil were felicitated on the stage of the event.


Tulsiram Silawat, Minister Usha Thakur, Minister Meena Singh and other public representatives were also present. The main event will be held at Nehru Stadium in Indore, which will be telecast live on a big screen at Patalpani. Cm Shivraj meanwhile said that salutations to the earth where Tantia Mama sacrificed himself. He said that the British had set up a separate police to nab Tantia Mama but they too could not catch him. A traitor was joined by the British, which led to his capture.

Shivraj further said that a big event was going to be held here today but could not be done due to rain but the main event will be held in Indore today. Today, we bowed at the temple where Kali Mata is seated, where Tantia Mama used to come and worship. Whatever happens in his family here even today, this is the first time that an invitation is given. Cm Shivraj attacked the Congress saying why didn't you install the statue of Tantia Mama earlier, just continued to praise one family. Why was Tantia Mama's lesson not taught in school courses?
