Mumbai: The coronavirus is spreading across the country. Maharashtra is most affected by this virus. Now the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has taken a major step to bail out Maharashtra from the coronavirus. As per the recent information, the Central Government has given its approval for the supply of Remdesivir. In fact, the Central Government has approved 4.35 lakh vials of Ramdesivir for Maharashtra.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray (April 24) thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the supply of 4,35,000 ramdesivir vials was approved under the information received. You must be aware that Remdesivir Injection is being used in India to treat corona patients. With the advent of the second wave of coronavirus, the demand for it has increased across the country.

During a meeting held recently, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had apprised the Central government of the shortage of ramdesivir in the state. According to a statement by the Chief Minister's Office, CM Thackeray had written a letter requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to supply remdesivir. After that, the Centre has CM ordered a supply of 4 lakh 35 thousand vials to the state by April 30. 69 lakh vials were called for supply but following the demand, the Central Government has increased it to 4.35 lakh vials. The State Government has been informed in a letter from the Union Health Ministry.

According to the official statement issued now, the Centre will supply 16 lakh remdisvir vials as per the demand of states across the country and seven licensed Pharmas have been directed to increase the production of Remdisvir.
