Mumbai: A day after Eknath Shinde became chief minister in Maharashtra, former CM Uddhav Thackeray held a press conference. Due to this, he said that if Union Home Minister Amit Shah had kept the promise given to me, then today there would have been the Chief Minister of the BJP in the state.
Along with this, Uddhav Thackeray said, what happened yesterday, because of the alliance in 2019, I had told Amit Shah to be the CM of Shiv Sena for 2.5 years and the same thing happened. If he had agreed, the Maha Vikas Aghadi would not have been formed and now after 2.5 years, the Bharatiya Janata Party would have been the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Uddhav Thackeray said, "The way this government has been formed. A so-called Shiv Sena worker (Eknath Shinde) was made the Chief Minister. That's what I said to Amit Shah. It could have been done respectfully. The Shiv Sena was officially with you (at that time).'' Uddhav Thackeray said that this chief minister does not belong to the Shiv Sena. At the same time, Uddhav Thackeray said about the decision to shift the metro shed to Aarey, "Don't take out my anger on the people of Mumbai. Don't change the decision to shift the metro shed. Don't play with the atmosphere of Mumbai.'' In fact, as soon as he became the Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis has ordered to shift the Metro shed to Aarey.
