New Delhi: A large number of migrant labourers are upset due to the lockdown implemented in the country. After not getting government assistance, now the workers are walking towards the houses on foot. The migrant labourers may not get help but no party is giving up the opportunity to do politics on them. Meanwhile, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of opposition parties on the workers' problem. In which the issues of workers will be discussed.

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut can also attend this meeting through video conferencing. This will be the first meeting of opposition parties led by the Congress, which will include Uddhav Thackeray as CM. CM Thackeray met Congress President for the first time in February after the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition government was formed in Maharashtra. This will be the first meeting of opposition parties after the nationwide lockdown implemented in the country on 25 March.

According to the report, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi will also discuss the plight of migrant labourers, changes in labour laws and the problem of farmers. About 18 opposition parties will participate in this meeting through video conferencing. These include TMC, DMK, SP, CPI (M), CPI, RJD, Muslim League, JCNC, AIUDF, LJD, RSP along with Congress.
