Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today bowed to the heroes of Kakori train action in Lucknow on Sunday. He felicitated the families of the martyrs at the Kakori Shaheed Memorial site in Lucknow. Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "Our heroes challenged the British Government by looting the British treasury in Kakori in 1925. In Lucknow, Rajendra Nath Lahiri, Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, Thakur Roshan Singh, and Ashfaq Ullah Khan were sentenced to death among the heroes of the Kakori incident. Rajendranath Lahiri was hanged on December 17. In 1925, heroes associated with the Kakori train action in Kakori took over the British treasury and challenged British rule. Greetings on the sacrifice day of Amar martyred Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaq Ullah Khan, and Thakur Roshan Singh who laid down their lives for the country's independence. '

He further said, "There was a historic incident at Chaura Chauri in Gorakhpur. The farmers, laborers, women, and youth there challenged the then British rule. India's great men and revolutionaries have made constant efforts at different times and at different places for the country's independence. In 1857, there was a collective effort for freedom. When Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil Ji was asked for his last wish in Gorakhpur jail, he gave this reply with great carelessness. O Ish! In India, I should be born 100 times, because there should always be death, a patriotic act.''

The country is celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of its independence. This Amrit Mahotsav should be about the energy of the country's freedom, the ideas of the revolutionaries, the welfare of India, making India a superpower in the world, and making India self-reliant. India's independence is the result of the sacrifice of revolutionaries. Inspired by these revolutionaries, we are working for the development of the country, for the welfare of the people, for the development of the village, the poor, the farmers, the women, and every section of the society in the open environment of independent India.''
