Sonbhadra: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed sorrow over the incident of July 17 at Umbha. He said that those who lost the family can no longer return. But it was the moral responsibility of the government to provide benefits of government schemes to the poor and to punish the guilty. He said that the district administration should prevent such incidents. Every poor should get his right. The administration has been directed to deal with the problems of the people of other villages in the speed in which action is taken.

The CM said that when he conducted an inquiry into the possession of the land from the administration, it was found that the poor's lands and one thousand bighas of forest land are occupied by the land mafia. He has made SIT investigate the lands. It will be reported in three months. After this, we will take big action. Every tribal, resident, poor and landless family of the district will allocate land. When there is prosperity on the face of the poor, the country will be happy. Our heartfelt condolences to the aggrieved family.

The government will also work for economic independence. Besides, CM inaugurated the foundation stone for 46 development projects worth Rs 340 crore, leased 852 bighas of land to 281 beneficiaries. Housing was provided to 292 people. Earlier, Rs 18.50 lakh was given to the victim's family, destitute pension, Rs 6 lakh to the injured, acceptance of Government Ashram Vidyalaya School, Golden Card was issued to 510 beneficiaries.
