Lucknow: The Yogi government of UP has announced measures for government departments and officials in view of declining revenue during the lockdown. Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Sanjeev Mittal, who is also the chairman of a committee on augmenting financial resources, has released a list of new measures.

Accordingly, no ambitious project will be started in the state, there will be a ban on buying cars and air travel by government officials. Mittal said that as the state's revenue had suffered a huge loss, there was no way but to resort to drastic measures. He said that officials would be advised to hold meetings through video conferencing instead of a tour. Authorities have been instructed not to use luxury hotels for organizing conferences, seminars and meetings, but to use government buildings for such events.

Officers have been asked to identify positions that have become obsolete due to the advent of technology, in such a manner that those employees have been asked to deploy elsewhere. The projects currently under construction will not be allowed to be completed.
