Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath presented appointment letters to 310 doctors at an event held in the capital Lucknow. He also gave appointment letters to 16 specialist doctors. State that 1,200 specialist doctors have been selected by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission. Out of these, appointment letters have just been provided to 310 specialist doctors in the first phase.

On the occasion, CM Yogi also dedicated 15 BSL-2 laboratories constructed across the state at Lok Bhavan. These laboratories have been set up in the districts of Amroha, Baghpat, Bhadohi, Chandauli, Hamirpur, Hapur, Hardoi, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Sultanpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Rampur, Sambhal, Pilibhit and Farrukhabad. After giving appointment letters to doctors, CM Yogi said, 'Earlier it was difficult to find specialist doctors even in district hospitals. Direct recruitment of specialist doctors by the state government will now provide specialist doctors in remote government hospitals as well.'

CM Yogi hit out at the previous government saying effective efforts are also being made in the medical sector in Uttar Pradesh. Only 12 medical colleges were formed in the state since Independence till 2017. But in the last four and a half years, the state government in collaboration with the Central Government has been developing 33 medical colleges. He also expressed gratitude to PM Modi for making Uttar Pradesh a medical hub.
