Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while assessing the challenges faced by the farmers due to deficient rainfall in the state, has assured that the farmers will be compensated for the crop loss. In fact, he has also given instructions to give full electricity to the farmers and not to cut off their tubewell connections due to arrears. With this, a spokesperson of the state government has given information about this. A government spokesperson said that 'Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the monsoon and crop sowing situation in the state in a high-level meeting on Saturday and gave important directions in view of the interests of the farmers.' At the same time, according to a government statement issued on Saturday, 'This year till August 20, a total of 284 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the state, which is less than 504.10 mm in the year 2021 and 520.3 mm in the year 2020.'

Apart from this, according to the statement, the sowing of Kharif crops has been affected due to lack of normal rainfall. However, after July 19, the rainfall situation improved significantly. According to this statement, in the meeting, the Chief Minister said that amidst the challenges arising due to scanty rainfall, the interest of each and every Annadata farmer would be protected and all possible help would be provided to the farmers.
