Lucknow: Punjab is facing a major power crisis these days, resulting in the closure of large industries in the Congress-ruled state. All industries are facing huge losses due to the non-availability of power supply. Meanwhile, UP CM Yogi Adityanath has offered 24-hour power to Punjab industrialists at lower rates. If they shift or set up new units in UP, they will benefit from this offer. The industrialists of Ludhiana had a meeting with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow on Monday (July 12, 2021) which lasted for 3 hours.
"On Sunday (July 11th), I received a call from a senior UP government official who told me that CM Yogi Adityanath wanted to meet industrialists from Ludhiana," Federation of Dying Factories Association chief and businessman TR Mishra told the media. Industrialists will brainstorm on the possibility of setting up industrial units in UP. We agreed to this proposal and left for Lucknow. Here we had a meeting with the CM, which lasted for about three hours.
Mishra further said, "CM Yogi has promised that industries will be supplied uninterrupted power round the clock as compared to Punjab at lower rates. At the same time, ''the UP government will further ensure the proper security of industrial units. We have been promised incomparable incentives and options to set up industrial clusters in key areas like Yamuna Expressway near the upcoming Noida International Greenfield Airport, which will be India's largest airport.''
