Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered inter-district transfer of teachers on Sunday. CM Yogi Adityanath has ordered action under a completely transparent process. The decision will benefit about 45,000 teachers. Priority will be given to women, persons with disabilities and critically ill teachers in inter-tribal transfers.

Out of this, about 9,000 are mutual transfer cases. The process of inter-tribal transfers was pending due to lockdown. More than 45,000 applications were made for transfer. The process for transparency will be followed entirely online. Before the lockdown, the Yogi government had amended the transfer policy of teachers. As per the new policy, the time limit of 5 years for transfer of teachers to basic education department was reduced to 3 years. While giving a major relief to women, the transfer deadline for them was only 1 year.

Yogi government had decided to give preference to the wife of the soldiers in the transfer. In addition, the critically afflicted teachers were also asked to facilitate transfer. Earlier on Saturday, CM Yogi had ordered the completion of the recruitment process of 31,661 assistant teachers in the Basic Education Department within a week. Cm Yogi said that the state government is envisaged to provide adequate employment opportunities to the youth including jobs.
