CM Yogi reaches Ayodhya to lay foundation stone for the 'Garbha Griha'

AYODHYA: Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, arrived in Ayodhya on Wednesday to lay the foundation stone for the Ram Temple's 'Garbha Griha,' or sanctum sanctorum. The chief minister took part in a 'Shila Pujan' ceremony for the sanctum sanctorum's building. At the same time, he will dedicate Shri Ramlala Sadan, a Dravidian-style temple.

The ceremony was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, and saints and Mahants from 90 maths and temples involved with the Ram Mandir movement.

Ramarcha, Durga Saptashati, Rudrabhishek, Ram Raksha Stotra, Vishnu Sahasranama, Hanuman Chalisa, and Sunderkand are being recited in preparation for the construction of Ram Mandir's Garbhagriha. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will lay the first carved stone of the 'Garbha Griha' at the foundation stone laying event.

The sanctum sanctorum is projected to be completed by December 2023, according to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which is in charge of the temple's construction.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay the foundation stone for the construction of the Lord Ram Temple in Ayodhya on August 5, 2020, and the work has been moving forward quickly since then.

Today, CM Yogi will lay the foundation stone of the sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple, for this reason the stones are being carved since 1992.
