Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has termed social media as an "unruly horse" and said it has "no parents." Addressing BJP workers, CM Yogi Adityanath said that at present social media is a kind of "unruly horse" and training and preparations are required to rein it in.

Yogi Adityanath said this to BJP IT cell workers and officials at a social media workshop held in UP's capital Lucknow. According to media reports, Yogi Adityanath cautioned party workers that they could be victims of media trials if they do not exercise caution. Referring to the Pegasus espionage scandal controversy, CM Yogi asked the party's IT cell workers to get ready to respond on social media and not wait for any good time.

Speaking on the changing nature of media in India, Yogi Adityanath said that there was a time when powerful print and television media used to be owned and edited, but social media has no parents. There used to be some people in print and visual media who used to be controlled, but nobody has control over social media. So, if you are not alert, you may be a victim of a media trial. Same Yogi further said, "Therefore, we need that kind of training and that kind of preparation to control this unruly horse.''
