Lucknow: Addressing a Kisan Sammelan in Lucknow, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said that if anyone who died in the Muzaffarnagar riots, there was a farmer. There was no riot in our Government. If someone tries to riot, his 7 generations will be pushed. There will be no interest on the dues of the electricity bill. A Committee has been constituted for this purpose.

Before 2017, Cows and buffaloes used to disappear in western UP. Things have changed today. The CM also praised the sugarcane department and said that the cane price was not paid from 2007 to 2017. In the last four years, our Government has paid the highest number of sugarcane donors. We have withdrawn all the cases against the farmers in the stubble burning case. We have determined that we are going to increase the price of sugarcane. So far, the support price of sugarcane was Rs 325, now Rs 350 will be the support price of sugarcane.

At the same time, sugarcane farmers will get an increase of 8 per cent in their income. The lives of 45 lakh farmers will change. At the Kisan Sammelan, the CM announced an increase in sugarcane prices by Rs 25. With this, the price of sugarcane at Rs.315 will now be Rs.340 per quintal. 350 per quintal of sugarcane worth Rs.325.
