The covid infection, which once remained at a thousand crossings for several days, has now reduced the unit figure. Only 8 new covids were found infected in Gorakhpur on Sunday. With this, the total number of active infected persons in the district had now come down to 372 till Sunday. These figures are also a testimony to the fact that the Yogi Government's Triple 'T' formula, which has been promoted by the WHO and NITI Aayog, has not only stopped the second wave of covid but is also preparing to neutralize the third wave in time.

In Gorakhpur, the second wave of covid from mid-April to the first week of May had a very fast pace of infection. To overcome this, the campaign of Triple T: Trace, Test and Treat has been intensified from village to village on the directions of CM Yogi Adityanath. At the village level itself, symptoms have been identified, their examination, home isolation with medicine and hospital isation on need have prevented the spread of infection.

Chief Minister Yogi himself had entered the field to know the ground realities of the Triple 'T' campaign. The daily figures of covid infection in the district have come down from 1000 to 1000 and from May 28. According to daily infection, the peak in the district was on April 25 when the covid test report of 1440 people was positive in a single day. On 13th June, this graph has come down to 8. That is, less than one percent of the peak of infection. Similarly, the total number of active infected persons on 30th April was at the peak of 10308 which has come down to just 372 on 13th June.
