While the Indian government is giving a lot of boost to electric vehicles in the country, Bharat Ratna Award-winning scientist C.N.R Rao commented on the government's move towards electric vehicles. The scientist said that the government should not take China's help on electric vehicles as the batteries of these vehicles use lithium-ion. Scientist Rao further said that the government should replace lithium-ion batteries with sodium or magnesium batteries as lithium is likely to cause a shortage in the coming time, which will further increase China's dependence on it in the times to come.

85-year-old scientist C. N. enmity. Rao is the Standard President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Avnes Scientific Research in Bengaluru. Rao says the real problem is that lithium reserves are depleting rapidly and there is no lithium elsewhere in the world. At the Platinum Jubilee Lecture of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Rao said that if the lithe is caught by fire, it becomes very difficult to extinguish it. He further said that the Australian has built a football field-sized lithium battery to power a city, but it will be difficult to extinguish if it fires. On the other hand, it is possible to extinguish sodium if it is on fire. Sodium batteries will come in the market.  Lithium comes from only one factory, while Kobald comes from Congo. Congo is occupied by China and China has incredible foresight. More than half of Africa is under China's control. India should also get cobalt food and said that helium will soon become rare. At the same time, he recalled how the procession was discovered by Jansen during a solar eclipse at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.

In his statement, Rao further said that China is going to become the only country to supply rare metals in the times to come. On the other hand, India needs to think about the natural resources of Kerala. A few days ago, Tata Chemicals of Tata Group announced the manufacture of The Lithium-Ion Cell. Bolivia has also invited Indian mining companies to participate in lithium mining operations. In Bolivia, a company from China and Germany is currently excavating Lithium.
