Actor Willford Brimley who worked in movies such as Cocoon, The Firm, The Natural and The China Syndrome, and Quaker Oats food products has died. The actor was 85 years old. He was suffering from kidney disease for the past 2 months. However, reports have said that he was admitted in the ICU due to deteriorating health in the last days of his life.

Wilford Brimley was also recognized for his public advocacy of diabetes education. The actor has tried to raise awareness about diabetes since 1979. It was the same year when Brimley came to know that he was suffering from diabetes. He started working in a very short year. Brimley was awarded a lifetime service award by the American Diabetes Association in 2008.

Anthony Willford is also famous as Brimley. The actor was born on September 27, 1934, in Salt Lake. Dropped out of actor high school and enrolled in the United States Marine Corps. Several years later, Brimley started his acting career.
