Lucknow: After the drizzle that happened on Wednesday and Thursday in the state, the weather got worse on Friday. The cold wave has started in the state due to rain and hail in many districts. Basti was the coldest in UP with a minimum temperature of 7 ° C. The December cold has broken the record of 19 years in Kanpur and 22 years in Meerut. Three people, including two innocents, died due to lightning in Hardoi. In Farrukhabad, the farmer guarding the farm died. At the same time, an elderly farmer died after being buried under a thatch in Bhainsroli village of Amroha district. A farmer lost his life in Etah due to falling trees. Electricity supply has come to a standstill in many districts due to fall of the poles. There is a possibility of damage to hundreds of acres of crops in many districts of West UP including Hail.

On the other hand, according to the information received from the sources, in almost all the districts of central UP including Bundelkhand, the weather became more merciless due to the cold winds, rain and hail. The cold has broken the record of 19 years due to intermittent rains in Kanpur for two days. For the first time since 2000 in Kanpur, the maximum temperature on Friday in December was 18.4 degrees Celsius.

The report says that Aarti (18), a resident of Neer village of village Kotwali area died due to lightning during the rains in Hardoi last Friday morning. At the same time, in the village Alampur Madaiya of Arwal police station, two innocent people died in the morning due to rain and lightning. The relatives cremated both the bodies without informing the police. Many crude houses in Chitrakoot were damaged. Four cattle died in Fatehpur and Kanpur Dehat districts. Two cattle died in Auraiya and four in Chitrakoot.
