HYDERABAD: Governor Dr. Tamilaisayi Soundarajan reviewed the preparation of universities with all the safety regulations prevalent amid the సిovid-19 epidemic with the Vice Chancellor and registrar, following standard operating procedures to ensure safety of students during the resumption of the campus from February 1.

The governor of the state universities, on Friday, stressed the need to take care of the health, safety, mental and nutritional aspects of students when restarting classes at the university. We are reopening colleges as the corona epidemic is effectively controlled and the centre and state governments introduce vaccines. However, we need to be alert to ensure the safety of students, teachers and others. Preventive measures are needed in the college premises. Social distance, handwashing facilities, wearing masks, availability of quality sanitizers

The Governor praised the Vice Chancellor for conducting online classes, conducting exams and announcing the results. He said that it helped students to continue education despite the epidemic. "Telangana is one of the first states to start online classes and now we too should be a role model in establishing safe campuses and providing quality education" the Governor said.

He advised universities to first know the health of all students to avoid the danger of సిovid-19 and provide the best services. Chitra Ramachandran, Special General Secretary (Education) of the Government, said that online classes have been made for those who do not want to attend college classes.

Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundarajan wants to create a strategy and roadmap to promote the role of alumni in the development of universities.
