UNNAO: A college student in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao died due to excessive bleeding after she was repeatedly raped by a 25-year-old youth.

The 25-year-old man reportedly raped the college student when she was alone at home. During the investigation, the man said to have taken a performance-enhancing pill before the act.

The police said, the man, Raj Gautam, raped her when she was alone at home. Despite her protests, the girl was repeatedly raped until she fainted and began bleeding from her private parts, police said.

Seeing this condition, Gautam got scared and fled leaving the victim bleeding profusely.

Later, when her younger sister went back home, she saw the victim lying motionless on the bed. Police added that after being transferred to the hospital, the medical staff declared her dead.

A major injury to her private parts caused her to bleed out excessively, according to the post-mortem, which also confirmed that she had been raped.

Siddhartha Shankar, the police chief, said: "When the victim was alone, Gautam admitted that he went to her residence and raped her, leaving her with serious bleeding from her private parts. On seeing this, he fled the spot."
