New Delhi. Col. Prithvipal Singh Gill, who was involved in the 1965 war between India and Pakistan, has completed his century of life today, which means he is 100 years old today. Col. Prithvipal Singh is the only officer who has served in the Indian Navy, Air Force and Army.
Col. Singh is said to have joined the Royal Indian Air Force under the English rule without asking the family. After which he was appointed as a pilot officer posted in Karachi. Col. Gill was then transferred to the Navy. While in the Navy, Colonel Gill performed duty on the sweeping ship and INS arrow. He was tasked with monitoring cargo ships during the Second World War. Col Gill then had the opportunity to serve in the army. Col Gill had the opportunity to work in Gwalior Mountain Battery and with Assam Rifles in Manipur.
Col. Prithvipal Singh Gill used to fly Howard aircraft. Lt Gen K J Singh has given this information on Gill from his Twitter handle. On the occasion of Prithvipal Singh Gill's 100 years of completion, he shared a photo of his youth and a photograph of the present time on social media. With this photo, he wrote in the caption, "Col. Prithvipal Singh Gill- 100 not out.
