Hyderabad: A number of Indian soldiers were awarded for their heroics in killing Chinese soldiers in the last month's struggle on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Galwan Valley. Colonel B.B. Santosh Babu's widow Santoshi has been appointed Deputy collector by the Telangana Government. Chief Minister K.K. Chandrasekhar Rao did this work in his official residence Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

He has given appointment letter to Veerangana Santoshi there. Apart from this, he has also issued a directive to Secretary Samita Sabharwal to get training and stay with Santoshi till assuming the responsibility of work. Actually K. Chandrasekhar also provided food to 20 members of his family who came with Santoshi during this period. During this time, he was also involved with them. While asking Kushalakhem, he assured everyone that 'the state government will always stand with the family of martyr Santosh Babu'. Apart from this, if you remember CM Chandrasekhar had gone to Santosh Babu's home in Suryapet a month ago to console his family. During that time, he gave financial assistance of five crore rupees to the family.

With this, he handed over the appointment letter of Group-1 to Veerangana Santoshi and the allotment letter for the 711 yard (2,133 feet) plot in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. Apart from this, let us also know that now the authorities are engaged in the process of handing them the plot. Yes, Shweta Mohanty, the District Magistrate of Hyderabad, did a land inspection for this.
