Comedian Bharti Singh is running into a big problem nowadays. She has approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court in a case that hurts religious sentiments. Bharti has demanded the court to abolish the FIR against her. The comedian was recently accused of hurting religious sentiments in a TV show with actress Raveena Tandon and filmmaker Farah Khan, and after that everyone even apologized in the matter.

After Bharti Singh's plea, her lawyer Abhinav Sood has said, "The case will be heard before Justice Sudeep Ahluwalia on Monday, 27 January. In the petition, Bharti Singh has demanded the abolition of the FIR and a stay on the Punjab Police's investigation." There have been reports that in the past week, Raveena Tandon and Farah Khan have got a big relief from the High Court. The High Court has ordered the police not to take any forceful action against both. In this case, the High Court has issued a notice to the Punjab Government seeking the reply on the petitions of Raveena Tandon and Farah Khan. An FIR was lodged against Farah Khan, Raveena Tandon and comedian Bharti Singh at the Ajnala police station in Amritsar regarding a comment made on a TV show.
With this, Raveena and Farah have already apologized in this case. Farah apologized on behalf of the entire team of Flipkart Video Originals' quiz show 'Backbenchers' and the actress wrote in the tweet, "Please see this link. Our motive was not to hurt the religious sentiments of the Christian brotherhood in any way. Nevertheless, if this has happened, then I am sorry for that."
