Indore: In the lockdown, partying a zonal officer of the Municipal Corporation was overshadowed. Yes, when a video corporation of the party reached the Commissioner Pratibha Pal, they suspended her. This action has been taken on violation of protocol during lockdown declared under covid-19. With the suspension of the zonal officer, the assistant engineer has been assigned the responsibility of the zone.
According to the information received, Zonal Officer Chetan Patil of Zone-7 has been suspended by the Corporation Commissioner amid the lockdown. Patil along with his family had organized the party at Kasturi Auditorium. The video has reached the commissioner. It is also being told that some people have also sung in front of the group. Social distancing was also not taken care of during the party.
After this video came out, the corporator issued a show cause notice to Patil. In the absence of satisfactory response to the notice, a departmental inquiry has been started by taking suspension proceedings. He has to serve at the trenching ground during suspension. Apart from this, the corporator has made it clear that strict action will be taken against any officer-employee if indiscipline comes out in the lockdown.
