New Delhi: Coronavirus infection cases are going to reach 11 lakhs in the country. More than 30 thousand cases are being reported every day since last four days. Meanwhile, two states of Assam and Kerala have indicated community transmission of the virus. However, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and ICMR have denied these reports. The first case of corona in the country was reported on 30 January. The central government says that cases of corona infection are increasing, but this is not a sign of community transmission.

First the Assam government had talked about community transmission. More than 8 thousand people are corona infected in Guwahati city. State Health Minister Hemant Biswa Sharma had said on July 5, indicating community transmission, that the entire lockdown has been implemented in the city since June 28, but even then the situation is not improving. More testing is required to control the situation. However, he also said that the situation will be controlled soon.

CM Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala had spoken about community transmission on Friday. He said that there has been a community transmission in the coastal areas of Anantapuram district. He said in the press conference that the number of corona infected patients in the coastal villages Pulluvila and Poonatura has increased very fast. He also announced complete lockdown in these areas. Thiruvananthapuram is the most corona-affected district in the state.
