MUMBAI: Today's morning sounds very difficult for the residents of Mumbai due to the auto rickshaw strike.The city's autro rickshaw union announced a strike againts R.T.O.(Regional Transport Office)decision to boost renewal charges for taxi and auto permits.
According to the reports,the government has incremented in the cost of permits to Rs.15,000 from Rs.200 by which Auto Driver's union plead that the cost of rejuvenation of permits should also been raised, due to the result of which the largest union of the city goes on day long strike.They are also demanding a restriction on the doorway of app based cab accumulators like OLA,UBER etc.
The leader of Mumbai Autorickshawmen Union -Shashank Rao said," We are protesting the entry of private cab aggregators and also the fee increased for permits from 200 to 15,200.If there is any problem or inconvenience to residents of the city.So,we are not responsible for that,the state government will be responsible.
