New Delhi: The coronagraph in the national capital Delhi has been steadily increasing after the arrival of the new variant Omicron of coronavirus. On January 2, 4100 new corona cases were found in Delhi, which has raised concerns. In no time, the corona infection rate in Delhi has gone up to about 6.5 per cent. The yellow alert of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has now been implemented in the capital, which can now be transformed into a red alert.

In fact, the Kejriwal government had already made it clear that a red alert of GRAP would be imposed if the corona infection rate goes above 5 per cent. But now the rate has gone up to more than six per cent. According to the Graded Response Action Plan, if the infection rate in Delhi reaches above 5 per cent and persists for two consecutive days, or up to 16,000 new cases a day or 3,000 beds are filled in the hospital, a red alert will be imposed in Delhi.

As soon as the red alert is implemented, curfew will be fully imposed in the capital, which will also remain on the weekend. With this, schools, educational institutions will be completely closed and studies will be online. Shops and business establishments that are selling unnecessary goods will close. With this, the swimming pool and all stadiums will be closed. Only those players who are participating in a national or international competition will be able to go to the stadium they have to prepare for.
