New Delhi: Everyday the changing weather and the attitude of disasters is causing great problems for the people. While the weather is also changing its form every day. With the death of 110 people due to lightning in Bihar and eastern UP, the disasters during the monsoon have started to show effect. A research published in Science magazine of America has said that as the temperature of the atmosphere increases, the incidence of thunderstorms will increase in India and the incidence of lightning will be more.

According to the Meteorological Department, if the temperature of the atmosphere rises by one degree, the incidence of lightning can be increased by 12%. According to the recently published report of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, India has seen an increase in annual average maximum temperature of 0.15 degrees while the minimum temperature has increased by 0.13 degrees Celsius between 1951 and 2015 due to climate change.

This means that there is a direct relationship between the increase in temperature in the atmosphere and the incidence of thunderstorms and lightning fall. Kumar Margashyam, regional manager of the Earth Network, the international agency that issued forecasts, says the incidence of lightning strikes in India has been steadily increasing, with many states of India recording lightning events.

According to sources, there is a study of Britain that due to increase in green house effect, the rise in temperature is increasing the incidence of electricity. Due to the rapid change in temperature, the incidence of thunderstorms is more. These storms are short-lived, ranging from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. According to the report of the International Network Earth Network, an organization that provides information of lightning fall in many countries, before the news of the storm and the storm, a total of 3,22,38,667 times of lightning occurred in India in the year 2019.
