Marvel Cinematic Universe’s flick Avengers: Endgame brought to an end a phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film has received the rave reviews and has broken many box-office records. Now, The Marvel director Joe Russo recently gave a sneak peek into the Marvel Studios' plans going ahead. Speaking about characters in the MCU, Joe Russo revealed that Marvel plans to introduce a character as gay in an upcoming film.
According to the report, Joe made the revelation during the Entertainment Weekly’s Morning Live show. He also suggested that the character to come out as gay is a person fans already know. On the show, The presenter asked Joe if it was the first out gay character in a Marvel film, to which the director said, Yes, openly gay. “There’ve been insinuations about other characters’ sexuality, but this is the first openly gay character,” Joe added. The director was further asked if there would be any other gay characters. To this, Joe said, "Uhhh. We’re gonna find out."
Joe brother and director Anthony further added, "That’s a story for another day." Well, we won't be surprised if this character surfaces sooner rather than later. Marvel chief Kevin Feige had said last year that two openly gay characters would be revealed soon.
