Cong holds Party meeting in Mumbai amid Maharashtra crisis

Mumbai: On Wednesday, the Congress Legislature Party held a meeting amid the worsening political situation in Maharashtra. 

The meeting was held at the home of Balasaheb Thorat, the leader of the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) and a cabinet minister for Maharashtra. Kamal Nath, an observer from the All India Congress Committees (AICC), also attended the meeting.

Kamal Nath stated after the meeting, "A total of 41 of the 44 MLAs were there, and three more were on their way. The BJP has ushered in politics based on force and money. The Constitution forbids it. I frequently encounter this. Shiv Sena will be united under Udhhav Thackeray. . I have spoken to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and he mentioned that as of now there is no proposal to dissolve the Maharashtra Assembly."

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut alluded to dissolving the State Legislative Assembly earlier today. Raut wrote on Twitter, "The ongoing political crisis in Maharashtra is leading to the dissolution of Vidhan Sabha"

Shiv Sena, Congress, and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) meetings are being held back-to-back in Mumbai in response to the state's fast-shifting political landscape.

Chhagan Bhujbal, a minister and NCP leader in Maharashtra, has, however, ruled out the state's holding midterm elections.
