NEW DELHI: Yes, it is Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, a Union minister, who  asserted on Monday that the Congress and corruption are "made for one other," and that the opposition party is waging a "satyagraha for corruption."

After Congress leaders walked to the streets on Monday to protest Rahul Gandhi's appearance before the Enforcement Directorate for questioning in a money laundering case, the minority affairs minister launched an attack on the opposition party. Congress, Naqvi claimed, was "fabricating agitation" since the family was facing allegations. This, he claims, demonstrates that Congress and corruption are "built for each other."

The country had previously observed'satyagraha' against corruption, but this is the first time the country has watched the Congress' culture of "satyagraha for corruption." Despite engaging in graft, the Congress' desire to display strength on the streets during a probe into a corruption case demonstrates its brazen attitude,  Naqvi said.  "The Congress has turned into a 'corruption crew' and an advocate of turning corruption into revolution," said the top BJP official.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a money-laundering case linked to the National Herald newspaper after the MP arrived at the agency's headquarters here with a slew of party leaders and supporters.
