Bhopal: Assembly elections are proposed in the year 2023 in Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, both the BJP and the Congress parties started adopting new tactics to win over the Kshatriya vote bank. In the past, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan had organized a program with the Kshatriya Samaj at the CM's residence and assured to withdraw the lawsuits filed during the protests against the film Padmavat, government holiday on Maharana Pratap Jayanti and installation of Padmavati's statue in Bhopal.

On the other hand, the Congress, worried about the Kshatriya vote bank, is now claiming the support of the Karni Sena and the Kshatriyas. Former state CM and State Congress President Kamal Nath claimed on Monday (January 9) that the Congress is supporting the protest by Karni Sena against SC and ST Act and caste reservation. Kamal Nath, while talking to the press during the conference of panchayat representatives at Ravindra Bhavan in Bhopal, said that Karni Sena is protesting at Bhopal's Jamboree Maidan with 22 demands. Reservation based on economic background and demand for changes in the SC and ST Act of 1989. He said that Congress is supporting the movement of Karni Sena.

Attacking the Shivraj government, Kamal Nath said, 'I support their demands. The government should hold discussions with them and try to fulfill their demands. Suppressing them won't do anything. The state government should sit and discuss their demands.' Adding political color to the matter, Kamal Nath said that if the Congress government is formed again, the demands of Karni Sena will be met.
